ATC grants bail to PTI Founder, Shah Mahmood Qureshi in May 9 cases
The founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, along with Shah Mahmood Qureshi, has been granted bail in 12 cases registered against them by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi.
The bail pleas were presented before ATC judge Malik Ijaz Asif, who approved their release. PTI counsel Sheraz Ahmed Ranjha represented them in court, while the prosecution’s request to postpone the hearing was rejected.
Previously, both the PTI founder and Qureshi had secured bail in cases related to the May 9 riots. However, they are currently detained in Adiala jail, facing multiple charges including cipher, Toshakhana, and illegal marriage cases.
