Blacklisted US national remanded in FIA custody for three days

ISLAMABAD: A local court of Islamabad has handed over blacklisted US national to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on three-day physical remand.  Utv Pakistan Report

The court directed the investigation agency to produce Mathew Barret before the court again on August 9.

FIA arrested blacklisted US national for entering Pakistan with forged documents after he was deported five years ago for suspicious activities.

The agency lodged a case against FIA personnel for giving him clearance at the airport and a woman official of Pakistan Commission Houston who is responsible for issuance of visas.

The American national was deported in 2011 for involvement in suspicious activities and was added in the black list.

Also, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has suspended assistant director FIA and the entire shift of immigration staff present at the airport for giving clearance to Mathew.Utv-Line
