Dar says he considers Faiz Hameed’s arrest a ‘miracle’
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed his astonishment at the arrest of retired Lt Gen Faiz Hameed, calling it a ‘miracle’. He mentioned that the arrest of the former ISI chief in Islamabad was unexpected.
Dar attributed the current situation to the 2014 sit-in and stated that General Hameed had apologized to him as Dar was also a victim of his actions. He criticized the impact of dirty politics on the country’s economy, noting that it had fallen from 24th to 47th place.
Dar also mentioned that the Foreign Office would no longer provide special facilities to parliamentary officers following the Senate joint secretary’s family visit and asylum of their family members.
