Delay in NAB witness cross-examination in 190m pounds case riles court

Court bars NAB from handling Toshakhana case against PTI founder, Bushra Bibi

In Rawalpindi, a judge expressed frustration over the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) witness not showing up for the 10th time in the case involving 190 million pounds against PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife.

The hearing took place at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.

The court noted that everything was being taken care of except for the cross-examination of the NAB witness.

The judge warned that if the NAB lawyer continued to be absent, he would have to proceed without them.

The NAB lawyer requested one more chance for the witness to be cross-examined.

During the hearing, Bushra Bibi mentioned that there were rats in her cell. She said that when she was praying, rats fell from the roof.

The court decided to adjourn the hearing until August 29, providing another opportunity for the cross-examination of the NAB witness.
