Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui hints at parting ways with govt

KARACHI: The Chairman of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, has threatened to break away from the government.
Speaking at a ceremony at the National Textile University in Karachi on Saturday, the federal minister hinted at the possibility of leaving the government before completion.
He emphasized the importance of independent local bodies for a functioning democracy, stating that without the development of Karachi, Pakistan cannot progress.
Siddiqui urged everyone to pray for Karachi to be on par with Islamabad. He also mentioned that the local bodies in Karachi do not have the necessary powers, dismissing any claims to the contrary as false.
