ISLAMABAD: The illegally detained senior leader of All-Parties Hurriyet Conference, Masarrat Aalam Butt continues to remain in jail even after getting of bail by court in a fake case registered against him in 2010.
The APHC spokesman Ayaz Akbar in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the occupation authorities had registered many cases against him merely on the basis of political vendetta.
He said, “Masarrat Aalam got bail in one of those cases and let us hope that they release him this time and not book him in another case”.
The court granted bail to Masarrat Aalam against the surety and personal bond of Rs 50 000, reported Kashmir Media Service.
He was released after more than four years illegal detention in March2015. He was again arrested on April 17, 2015 for raising pro Pakistan’slogans during a rally held in Srinagar on the arrival of APHC Chairman Syed Ali Gilani from New Delhi two days ago.
