MQM decides not to support joint opposition over Panama Papers

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement has decided not support joint opposition over the issue of Panama Papers, sources said Tuesday.

According to sources privy to the development, MQM has reservations over offshore companies of the leaders of opposition parties, therefore, party has decided not to support the joint opposition.

MQM leadership has summoned Mian Ateeq and Barrister Saif to Karachi for deliberations on the issue.

Meanwhile, reacting on the development, Pakistan People’s Party leader Aitzaz Ahsan said MQM is independent in making its decision.

Also, the second round of joint opposition meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m tomorrow (Wednesday) in the chamber of Syed Khursheed Shah.
