KARACHI: Irum Azeem Farooqi, the member Sindh Assembly of MQM, has said that her party has lost its sincere worker. She tweeted that London Rabita Committee has suspended her because of her peaceful message to the workers of both sides.
She, however, said if the MQM Chief had spoken to her and seen the email he would not have endorsed her suspention.
MQM’s London Rabita Committee Saturday suspended Farooqi for three months for violating the party discipline.
Irum Farooqi responded to the suspension in a tweet saying “the party has lost its sincere political worker.” She further added that she respects the MQM chief and those members who are true to the cause. “May peace prevail” She concluded.
According to MQM’s statement the decision was made after the party demanded a detailed explanation from Irum Farooqi over the matter.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain confirmed the decision of the Rabita Committee. The committee suspended her for her peace message.
She pinned one of her years back tweets saying “If you fail to achieve your dreams, just change your ways, not your principles. Because as trees only change their leaves, not roots.”
