Murad Saeed allowed to participate in Senate election

Murad Saeed allowed to participate in Senate election

In Peshawar, the nomination papers of Murad Saeed, a prominent leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former federal minister, have been officially approved for the upcoming Senate election. This decision was confirmed by a written verdict issued by the Appellate Tribunal, which dismissed all eight objections raised against Saeed. The tribunal specifically noted that the signatures on Saeed’s papers were indeed authentic.

It is worth mentioning that Saeed has already paid the penalty imposed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), further solidifying his eligibility for the election. The tribunal also emphasized that individuals who may be absconding still maintain the right to participate in elections, and nomination papers cannot be rejected solely on this basis.

Additionally, the tribunal highlighted that Murad Saeed demonstrated transparency by fully disclosing his assets. The documents submitted by Saeed, including those verified through power of attorney, were found to be accurate and in compliance with the election regulations.
