Number of cases against Imran Khan in Islamabad reaches 76

In Islamabad, the number of cases against former Prime Minister Imran Khan has risen to 76.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) presided over a petition filed by Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Niazi, who was seeking information about the cases against him.
During the court session, the petitioners’ lawyers, Shaheena Shahab and Mirza Asim Baig, presented their arguments.
The Islamabad police submitted a new report during the hearing, revealing 14 additional cases against Imran Khan, which brings the total number of cases in Islamabad to 76, up from the previous 62.
The IHC also received a report on cases against Imran Khan in Balochistan, noting that one of the two cases in the province had been dismissed.
The petitioners’ lawyer mentioned that some FIRs in Islamabad were sealed, to which the court responded that the police have the authority to do so under their rules, suggesting that the petitioners should go to the judicial magistrate.
Subsequently, the IHC dismissed the petition filed by Noreen Niazi regarding the cases against her brother.
