Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that the concerns raised by a US official about Pakistan’s missile capabilities and delivery methods were unfortunate and baseless. She emphasized that Pakistan has never had any ill intentions towards the US and has made significant sacrifices to maintain their relationship.

She expressed disappointment in the recent allegations made by the US official, highlighting the positive relationship between Pakistan and the US since 1954. Baloch also mentioned that Pakistan’s strategic capabilities are essential for defending its sovereignty and ensuring peace in South Asia.

Furthermore, she clarified that Pakistan’s strategic program is solely for deterring threats from its neighbors and should not be seen as a threat to any other country, including the US. Baloch emphasized that any assumption of hostile intent from Pakistan is illogical.

She reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to engaging with the US constructively and pursuing a balanced approach to security and stability in the region. Baloch emphasized the strong consensus across Pakistan’s political and social spectrum regarding the sanctity of their strategic program.
