PM to take parliamentary party into confidence over constitutional amendment
Islamabad: The current government is getting ready to propose changes to the constitution in parliament.
Prime Minister Shehbaz has decided to inform the parliamentary party about this, according to sources from Saturday. The sources mentioned that the prime minister has called for a meeting at the PM House at 7pm today, followed by a dinner for the attendees.
This development is happening as PM Shehbaz’s administration plans to present a constitutional amendment in the National Assembly (NA) to increase the retirement age of superior court judges, a move strongly opposed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
