Polling begins for local body by-elections in KP's 17 districts

Polling has started for local body by-elections in 17 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Kohat, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Abbottabad, Manshera, Kolai Pallas, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Lower Dir, and Bajaur.

The voting began at 8 AM and will continue until 5 PM. There are 345,604 registered voters and 260 polling stations set up across the province. Security cameras are in place at sensitive polling stations.

The Election Commission has deployed over 6,500 personnel for the by-elections, with more than 800 officials handling security in Peshawar.
