PTI has put across its demands for dialogue: Barrister Gohar

Barrister Gohar welcomes govt's committee to hold dialogue

Barrister Gohar, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stated on Monday that they were open to negotiations with the government without any preconditions.

He mentioned that PTI had already presented their demands to the government. Gohar spoke to the media outside the Islamabad district and sessions court, emphasizing that PTI founder Imran Khan had previously called for talks to resolve political issues.

He highlighted the importance of political dialogue to overcome the current deadlock. Gohar mentioned that previous negotiations had not led to any resolution, and it was essential for politicians to come together to ease the political tensions.

The PTI leadership, including Gohar, appeared in court for a hearing related to their alleged involvement in a protest in Islamabad.

The hearing was conducted by Judicial Magistrate Shehzad Khan, who noted that seven other individuals were also accused in the case.

The judge advised the lawyers not to unnecessarily prolong the case and asked for exemption requests for Gohar. The court adjourned the hearing and instructed the other accused individuals to file acquittal pleas.
