Punjab govt dispatches second consignment of medicines, essential goods for Parachinar

In Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz kept her promise to provide medicines to the people of Parachinar. Following her instructions, a second shipment of 41 essential items, including medicines and goods, was sent to Parachinar. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also ordered the dispatch of five more trucks.
During a cabinet meeting on December 19, Maryam Nawaz directed the sending of medicines and essential goods after receiving requests from the people of Parachinar. Provincial Health Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique, Khawaja Imran Nazir, and Secretary Emergency Services Dr. Rizwan Naseer oversaw the transfer of medicines to Parachinar.
Authorities reported that additional medicines, including insulin, dog bite vaccine, and other life-saving drugs, are being sent to Parachinar. Twelve large shipments of essential medicines have already arrived, with more on the way.
Following Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s instructions, an elderly patient from Parachinar was airlifted to Islamabad for urgent surgery using the Punjab Air Ambulance Service. The patient’s son expressed gratitude for the assistance.
Maryam Nawaz emphasized that helping the people of Kurram is a matter of service, not politics. She expressed hope for a return to normalcy and announced plans to send a mobile health unit to Kurram based on the community’s needs.
She also mentioned the possibility of transferring more patients from Parachinar to Rawalpindi via the Air Ambulance Service, as per the instructions of Quaid Nawaz Sharif. Maryam Nawaz highlighted the importance of the air ambulance service in providing timely assistance to those in need.
