Recently Elected President Asif Zardari to take oath today

Asif Ali Zardari, the Co-chairman of the Peoples Party and recently elected as the 14th President of Pakistan, is set to take his oath of office today.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa, will be administering the oath at the President House at 4 pm. The ceremony will be attended by distinguished guests including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, services chiefs of the armed forces, chief ministers and governors of all provinces, members of assemblies, and ambassadors.

Asif Zardari secured 411 votes on Saturday to be elected president for the second time, having previously held the position in 2008.
