SC annuls IHC decision of declaring allotment of plots to judges, bureaucrats illegal

SC adjourns military trial case due to lawyers' absence

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has overturned a decision made by the Islamabad High Court regarding the allocation of plots to judges and bureaucrats in Sectors F-14 and F-15 in the federal capital.

The apex court accepted the plea from the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority and instructed the IHC to review the case.

A three-member bench, led by Justice Munib Akhtar, had reserved the verdict on May 21, with Justice Ayesha Malik delivering the final decision.

The IHC had previously ruled the housing scheme, which included plots reserved for retired judges and bureaucrats in F-14 and F-15, as illegal. The final verdict was announced after a six-month period.
