Sheikh Rashid denounces arrests on parliament premises

Awami Muslim League leader and former federal minister Sheikh Rashid criticized the arrests made inside parliament, calling the action inappropriate. Speaking to the media during his court appearance in Islamabad, Sheikh Rashid mentioned that the political situation would become clearer by September 30.
Earlier, a local court in Islamabad considered a request for acquittal in a case filed at the Aabpara police station against Imran Khan and Sheikh Rashid. Sheikh Rashid and Sadaqat Abbasi were present with their lawyers Sardar Masroof and Sardar Shahbaz.
Lawyer Sardar Masroof argued that the other accused in the case had already been acquitted. The case was related to a violation of Section 144, and he asked the court to acquit the accused. The court has yet to make a decision on the acquittal plea for Imran Khan and Sheikh Rashid.
