The statement has come in response to Indian Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s criticism on Pakistan in his address at South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation’s interior minister conference in the federal capital yesterday.

Singh arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday to participate in the conference while Indian media reported that he would dub Kashmir dispute as India’s internal matter and raise Pathankot attack case.

Nisar said that brutality and violence against children and innocent locals in Kashmir is terrorism.

On the other hand, Foreign Office has stated that Singh is not scheduled to meet Pakistani authorities. The government is not letting any platform appearance go without raising Kashmir dispute, the weekly media briefing read.

Nafees Zakaria, spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that the government has raised Kashmir dispute with all the Saarc members.

Rajnath Singh will call on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif later today.

It should be noted here that as per Saarc rules, no representative of any member state is allowed to raise an issue that attracts annoyance from any member.

Singh will be violating Saarc rules if he declares Kashmir India’s internal matter.

Ever since Rajnath Singh stepped on Pakistani soil yesterday, different organizations and political parties are rallying in Islamabad and other countries against Indian atrocities in occupied valley.

Over 72 persons have been killed by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir in the recent clashes after Burhan Wani, a freedom fighter was martyred for seeking right to self-determination and freedom.

Since 1947, two of the three wars fought between the two neighbouring states involved Kashmir dispute.Utv-Line
