Senior Provincial Minister and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marriyum Aurangzeb criticized those spreading false information about the relief in electricity bills provided by the Punjab government.

She called it shameful. Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Aurangzeb emphasized that the PML-N is dedicated to helping the public and is working hard to provide relief to electricity consumers despite facing challenges.

She mentioned that the PML-N’s goal is to improve the lives of the people. Aurangzeb also highlighted that the Punjab government has allocated 45 billion rupees from the provincial budget to provide relief to electricity consumers.

She explained that relief is being given to consumers using between 201 and 500 units of electricity, while those using up to 200 units are receiving relief from the federal government.

Aurangzeb accused some individuals of spreading false information about the relief measures, stating that these actions are part of a series of federal initiatives. She also mentioned that residents of Islamabad will receive relief at Rs 14 per unit.
