KARACHI: MQM’s Waseem Akhtar welcomed on Tuesday the nomination of Murad Ali Shah as the new Chief Minister of Sindh. Utv Pakistan Report
According to details, Akhtar, who is MQM’s nominated mayor of Karachi, welcomed news and reports of Murad Ali Shah’s nomination for the Chief Minister’s job.
“Sindh was always in need of a working Chief Minister,” said Waseem Akhtar. “We welcome the appointment of Murad Ali Shah as the new Chief Minister of the province,” he said.
Waseem Akhtar also expressed the hope that with the appointment of a new Chief Minister, local bodies institutions would finally receive the powers they were due.
Incumbent Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah is expected to resign today in a high level PPP meeting presided by chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Reliable party sources have named Murad Ali Shah as the replacement of Qaim Ali Shah.
The decision to replace Qaim Ali Shah as CM Sindh was taken at a meeting in Dubai which was attended by Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur, Bilawal Bhutto and other senior members of the party.
