Zeenat murder case: Suspect goes back on confession

LAHORE: A suspect in the Zeenat murder case, who was arrested by police on Tuesday, went back on his initial confession and claimed innocence from killing the 17-year old girl.

According to details, the suspect Anees, who is Zeenat’s brother, was presented before the media. Anees stated that he was innocent and had not killed his sister. He placed all blame on his mother Parveen and stated that it was Parveen who had murdered Zeenat for marrying the man of her choice.

“Zeenat was my little sister and I had raised her like a little child,” stated Anees.

It was also decided by the police to conduct a lie detector case to determine whether or not Anees was telling the truth. In response to the question regarding why did he flee from the police if he was innocent, Anees said that he had fled after the murder because his friends had advised him as such.

Anees had confessed earlier on Tuesday morning when he had been arrested that he had murdered Zeenat with the help of his mother. He had also disclosed to them that he had strangled her to death and then burnt her. Utv-Line
