ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Monday rejected all the allegations in case pertaining to contempt of court.
A three-member bench of the apex court resumed hearing of the contempt of court case againt the state minister.
In today’s proceedings, while recording his statement, Talal Ch said that his January 24 presser and January 27 speech were deliberatedly edited showed on TV, adding that he had not named any judge.
Justice Gulzar Ahmad remarked that on Janury 24, the word “Baba Zehmat” was used, while in Jan 27 speech expelling PCO judges was said to which the state minister said that specific sentences from his speech were picked.
Chaudhry reffered to the mentioning of PCO judges in Charter of Democracy to which the judge remarked that the carter has nothing to do with the case.
The court then adjourned the hearing till May 23.
