ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Abbasi has said that delay in elections is not acceptable as already attempts have been made to ‘put a full stop’ to the democratic process in the last five years.
Speaking to the concluding session of National Assembly before dissolution,the leader of the house said that the law and order situation is way better in 2018 than 2013. He said that they brought peace to Karachi through cooperation from the armed forces of Pakistan and political forces.
About economy he said that the economic figures they are leaving for the next government is better that what they inherited. He said he was proud that PML (N) government brought tax reforms and growth jumped to six percent. Also, the trust of foreign investors has increased.
PM Abbasi said that they have inaugurated electricity projects which will cater to the power needs for the next 15 years. He said that Pakistan’s next biggest challenge is water scarcity for which there is a dire need to build dams.
He said that CPEC is in the process of becoming a reality. He informed the house that 1700km motorways and 2000km long highways have been completed in five years.
He also said that Pakistan raised the issue of Kashmir on every international forum and the solution of Afghanistan issue lies in dialogue.
