Democracy is inevitable for Pakistan’s development, public prosperity: Maryam Nawaz

In Lahore, Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of democracy for Pakistan’s development, progress, and public welfare.
On International Democracy Day, she praised the sacrifices made by democratic leaders, including Nawaz Sharif, to protect democracy.
Maryam Nawaz pointed out that the PML-N has guided Pakistan towards development by upholding democratic values.
She stressed that a strong democracy is essential for both economic and political stability.
The Chief Minister of Punjab explained that democracy is not just a form of governance, but an ideology that empowers the public by giving them a voice and ensuring their rights and services.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted that democracy allows the public to choose their representatives, leading to social justice and prosperity.
She stated, “A country’s development is linked to the strength of its democracy. Democracy promotes social justice and public prosperity.”
Today, International Day of Democracy is being celebrated worldwide to raise awareness about the importance of strong democratic institutions.
This year’s theme for International Day of Democracy is the significance of Artificial Intelligence as a tool for good governance.
