Desire for peace should not be mistaken for weakness: ISPR DG

RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major Gen Asif Ghafoor on Monday reiterated that Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be mistaken as weakness.

He was addressing a press conference here Rawalpindi today.

“India had revoked ceasefire truce over 2000 times in the past 13 years. From 2013 till now, 48 people have been martyred [due to Indian unprovoked firing]”, stated ISPR DG.

“Pakistan has always displayed responsible behavior. India mostly targets civilian population [along LoC and working boundary] whereas befitting reply is served [by Pakistani forces] to each provocation. Pakistan wants to abide by ceasefire truce”, asserted ISPR DG.
