ABBOTTABAD: An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted Abbottabad and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the wee hours of Saturday, Dunya News reported.
The tremor was also felt in Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Mansehra, Haripur, and other adjoining areas. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the border region of Afghanistan and Tajikistan at a depth of 230 kilometres.
People came out of their homes in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran. No loss of life or damage to property was reported in the earthquake.
