ECP decides to move intelligence agencies against horse-trading

In the wake of horse-trading in the recent Senate elections, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to get help from Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other intelligence agencies to probe the clandestine practice.

A five-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner resumed the hearing of the case here at Islamabad today.

Imran Khan’s counsel—during the hearing—assured ECP of full assistance in the probe.

“To buy the vote via money is an offence and we will probe the matter”, he said while adding that those who purchase the votes and those who sell are none other than parliamentarians.

Later, the hearing was adjourned till April-4.
