Fazlur Rehman sworn in as Sindh caretaker chief minister

KARACHI: Former chief secretary Fazlur Rehman sworn in as Sindh caretaker chief minister on Saturday.

Governor Sindh Mohammad Zubair administered the oath to Fazlur Rehman at a ceremony held at Governor House.

Outgoing chief minister Murad Ali Shah was also present on the occasion.

On the other hand, deadlock persists in naming Balochistan’s caretaker chief minister while the matter of naming interim CM of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been referred to the parliamentary committee which is scheduled to hold its first meeting today.

Meanwhile, the mystery of caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab is likely to be resolved after the Punjab government hinted at consensus on two names proposed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), former Inspector General Police (KPK) and current member of Punjab Public Service commission (PPSC) – Nasir Durani and Uaqoob Tahir Izhar, a businessman.
