QUETTA: After Nawab Sanaullah Zehri resigned as Balochistan Chief Minister (CM), different names including Saleh Bhutani, Jan Muhammad Jamali, Sarfaraz Bugti and Nawabzada Changez Marri have on Wednesday started to surface for the vacant post.
All political forces are devising strategies, and Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi consulted with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif over the issue.
The meetings of dissenters with the opposition are also going on as the horse-trading goes at its peak.
After the Balochistan cabinet dissolved with Zehri’s departure, the speaker sent a summary mentioning the absence of the leader of the house to the governor who can summon assembly session at any time to appoint the new CM.
It is pertinent here to mention that Sanaullah Zehri had resigned on Tuesday (yesterday) to avoid the no-confidence motion against him in the provincial assembly after Balochistan witnessed a week-long political crisis.
