(Webdesk) – Pakistan Muslim League (N) workers since last night have been protesting on the streets of Lahore and are aggrieved and agonized over the interim government measures taken ahead of the former Prime Minister and PMLN Supremo arrival on Friday evening, to present himself for arrest, after his conviction in Avenfield Reference case.
So far, more than five hundred PMLN workers including some local bodies’ representatives have been arrested, said media co-ordinator PMLN. Earlier, Shehbaz Sharifwrote a letter to Caretaker CM Punjab Hassan Askari to record his protest over the worst political victimisation of workers trying to keep them silent & crackdown launched to refrain party supporters to receive the party supreme leader and ousted premier Nawaz Sharif, returning to the country to surrender.
After the detention of many party workers, Union Council chairmen and councilors, protests are broken out. Raged protesters block the roads by burning tyres, chanting slogans in the favor of party supremo Nawaz Shraif, daughter Maryam Nawaz, Party President and former Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other senior leadership and against caretaker government and Incumbent Chief Minister Dr. Hassan Rizvi.
