JHELUM: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Bilal Azhar Kiyani on Monday has been allowed to participate in the upcoming general elections on July 25.

According to details, the decision of election tribunal over Kiyani’s dual nationality issue was suspended.

However, the final notification will be issued as per Supreme Court (SC) verdict.

It is to be mentioned here that Bilal Azhar Kiyani was contesting election from NA-66 Jhelum when appellate election tribunal barred him, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry from contesting elections.

The nomination papers of the candidates were rejected by tribunal of Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench headed by Justice Ibad-Ur-Rehman Lodhi.
