Operation underway to rescue two mountaineers stranded on Nanga Parbat: Pakistan Army

(Web Desk) – Operation to rescue two mountaineers stranded on Nanga Parbat due to bad weather is underway as two helicopters containing four rescuers were sent for the mission, Pakistan Army media cell told on Saturday.

ISPR said, “In response to request for rescue of two foreign mountaineers (one male one female) who are stuck in bad weather at Nanga Parbat, an operation is in progress.”

The mission comprises two helicopters of the Pakistan Army with four rescuers. “2 Pakistan Army helicopters carrying 4 rescuers are undertaking rescue mission,” ISPR added.

The concerned embassies in Islamabad had made the request to Pakistani forces to save the lives of these mountaineers.
