Pervez Khattak resigns as the chairman of PTI-P - UTV Pakistan

Pervez Khattak, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTI-P), announced his resignation from the party on Saturday following a disappointing performance in the 2024 nationwide elections.

After declaring his intention to “take a break from politics” on February 12, Khattak, who was once a close ally of PTI founder Imran Khan but later formed his own faction, officially stepped down from his position as party chairman and member. In his resignation letter, Khattak cited “serious health issues” as the reason for his decision.

In the letter, Khattak expressed his regret at having to resign from his role as party chairman due to his health concerns. He acknowledged the honor and privilege it had been to serve in that capacity but recognized that his health limitations prevented him from fulfilling his duties effectively.

Khattak thanked the party for the opportunity to serve as Chairman and expressed his best wishes for its continued success and prosperity in the future.
