ISLAMABAD: Former Senate chairman and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Mian Raza Rabbani on Friday said that if any politician had co-authored the kind of book being launched in India written by the former interlligence chiefs’ of Pakistan and India, he or she would have been labelled as a traitor.

Speaking on the floor of the Upper House of the Parliament, he said that if any civilian co-authored a book he or she would have been labelled as a traitor.

Rabbani further added that an unstopable protests would also have started in the country against the one who would have written the book.

The PPP leader asked to inform the Senate if General (r) Asad Durrani had asked for permission from the government.

Speaking on the constitution amendment, Mian Raza Rabbani said that tribal people have rendered immense sacrifices in the war on terror.

He said the valiant people of tribal areas have always demonstrated their patriotism and love to the country for which they deserve our appreciation.
