KARACHI: Fauzia Kasuri—the founding member of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf—who recently tendered resignation to Imran Khan citing discontent with party’s policies—has on Thursday joined ranks of Mustafa Kamal-led Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP).
Feeling elated, Kamal asserted that inclusion of Fauzia Kasuri had ratified ideology of PSP. He further went on to say that PSP was then among the mainstream parties of the country. “At present, we [read PSP] have four MNAs and eighteen MPAs. All lawmakers tendered resignations to join cause of PSP”, stated Kamal.
Speaking on the occasion, Fauzia Kasuri asserted that she had never practiced politics for power. “I left PTI because it had deviated from its core purpose.
“PTI wants to send those people in assemblies who should be in jail over corruption”, added Kasuri.
