PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) women lawmakers Friday strongly rejected allegations of horse-trading in the recently held Senate elections.
During a press conference, MPAs Nagina Khan, Naseem Hayat and Nargis swore by Quran to prove their loyalty to the party. They said that they had voted for the PTI in the Senate polls. They questioned ouster of only 10 lawmakers out of 20 accused of selling their votes. “We were not given a chance to prove our innocence,”
Speaking on the occasion, MPA Nagina Khan recalled how she had actively participated in the party’s membership campaign after joining the PTI in 2008. “I am still loyal to the party,” she said.
