CHARSADDA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said that leaders come on top on merit in a true democracy.

Addressing a public gathering in Charsadda on Thursday, he said that his party (PTI) is competing with the family politics.

Khan said that and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif’s development was restricted to the advertisements, adding that the ex-Punjab CM spent Rs40 billion in advertisements.

The PTI chairman went on to say that the rain in Lahore has exposed Shehbaz Sharif’s development, adding that General Ziaul Haq had introduced former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif in the politics.

“Maryam has not worked for a single day as she hopes to become Pakistan’s PM,” he said and added democracy failed in Pakistan due to dynastic politics.

Taking a jibe at PPP, Khan said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is getting ready to become prime minister of the country.
