ISLAMABAD: Former Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Khursheed Shah on Tuesday has said that the previous government should not take revenge of bad governance from the nation.
Responding to hike in prices of petroleum products, Khursheed Shah said that decrease in rupee value has unveiled government’s claims regarding artificial economical development.
The recent increase in petroleum products’ prices will cause inflation in the country, he added.
Khursheed Shah said that the previous government believed in torturing the people instead of increasing tax net. Interim government should not follow this, he stated.
The caretaker government should immediately withdraw this decision, he demanded.
Earlier, few days ahead of Eidul Fitr, the caretaker government on Monday revised prices of petroleum products for the current month.
The price of petrol were increased by Rs4.26, High Speed Diesel by Rs6.55, Kerosene Oil by Rs4.46 and Light Diesel Oil by Rs6.14 per litre.
The new prices are effective from today (Tuesday).
The new price of petrol will be Rs91.96 per litre; High Speed Diesel Rs 105.31 per litre; Light Diesel Rs 74.99 per litre and Kerosene Oil Rs 84.34.
