LAHORE: Pakistan Day celebrations began in Lahore at the stroke of midnight with fireworks show at the Greater Iqbal Parks where historic resolution, known as the Pakistan Resolution, was approved on March 23, 1940.
The fireworks started at the stroke of midnight. The spectacle brightened the dark sky with bursting lights. A large number of people of every age were present to witness the fireworks show.
For about 30 minutes, the spectacular fireworks dazzled the crowd who were chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans. Fireworks displays were also arranged to mark Pakistan Day celebrations at the Mazar-e-Quaid Karachi and other major cities of the country.
