MUZAFFARGARH: Former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar, her father Noor Rabbani Khar were on Tuesday booked in a forgery case filed by Hina’s step brother Abdul Khaliq.
Noor Rabbani Khar is currently member of National Assembly belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
As per details garnered, Khaliq lodged forgery and fraud case against 29 persons including the two aforementioned personalities. Khaliq—in his petition—alleged that Noor Rabbani Khar and Hina Rabbani Khar had illegally transferred 1535-land agriculture land for which a formal complaint had already been lodged at the directorate of anti-corruption.
Sources privy to anti-corruption told that case had been lodged at Muzaffargarh Anti-Corruption Department after completion of probe.
Zardari-led PPP had appointed Khar as Pakistan’s first and youngest woman foreign minister after gaining power in 2018 general polls.
