LAHORE: At least three people were killed and 13 other were sounded in rain related incidents in different parts of Lahore on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
Dust storm followed by heavy downpour hit the provincial capital Lahore on Tuesday evening, bringing the mercury down and providing a much needed relief from scorching heat.
Over 450 feeders of Lahore Electronic Supply Company tripped due of storm and heavy precipitation; and many areas of Lahore have been deprived of electricity since 7 O’clock.
Roofs and wall of some houses collapsed in various areas of the city due to which three persons were killed and 13 other were wounded. Fire also erupted in houses in Harbanspura, Sanda and Raiwind Road. The fire destroyed household items worth millions of rupees.
On the other hand, loading trolley collided with two planes at the Allama Iqbal International Airport due to storm, causing partial damage to nody and engines of the plane.
