ISLAMABAD: Maryam Nawaz has said that the trend of sending prime minister(s) must come to an end.
In her message on the death anniversary of Pakistan People s Party (PPP) founding leader and former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif said that the tradition of registering cases and sending leaders into exile must be halted.
“The proceedings of the accountability court should be broadcast live so that the truth could be exposed to the nation,” she tweeted.
Referring to the accountability court proceedings, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) scion tweeted, “The money trail that we gave was discarded by the (in)famous JIT, on the basis of assumptions . #TravestyOfJustice #JITexposed.”
Earlier in the day, she along with his father and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif attended the hearing of Avenfield reference in an accountability court.
