ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has said on Friday that he was “almost” put under house arrest and the government owed an explanation over whether the alleged oppression represented rule of democracy in the country or autocracy.
He addressed the media at his residence in Bani Gala in the evening and on the occasion he sought an explanation from the government for not permitting leaders of PTI to attend demonstration at Laal Haveli.
He rhetorically asked Islamabad High Court (IHC) if PTI was the only organisation liable to abide by the laws in the country.
Nawaz Sharif, the premier did not have any understanding of democracy, Khan claimed adding that he would keep pressurizing the government until the premier presents himself for accountability.
Khan also mentioned Model Town incident by promising to put both the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif and the premier behind bars among those responsible for the lives lost.
