ISLAMABAD: Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday has said that the country is suffering from worst kind of dictatorship.
Talking to media outside the accountability court, Nawaz Sharif said that he had not faced such kind of sanctions during martial law which he is facing now.
Responding to recent statement of Siraj-ul-Haq regarding giving vote to Sadiq Sanjrani on ‘order from top’, Nawaz Sharif said that no one can hide the truth and that his statement should be pondered over.
He also lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan, stating that on whose orders he voted in Senate.
Former PM said that the country was declared atomic power during his government and that he had struggled to eliminate terrorism and to improve the situation in Karachi.
Imran Khan also said that the decision of my disqualification was not right, he added.
He also appealed the nation to pray for his ailing wife Kulsoom Nawaz who is undergoing treatment of cancer in London. He said that they didn’t get much time to spend with Kulsoom Nawaz as they had to return Pakistan.
On the other hand, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz appeared before accountability court in National Accountability Bureau‘s (NAB) Avenfield and Al-Azizia references after returning from London.
Both accused reached Islamabad from London in the wee hours of Monday after the court rejected their exemption from hearing pleas and directed to attend the proceedings.
