Asif Zardari sworn in as the 14th President of Pakistan - UTV Pakistan

Islamabad: Asif Ali Zardari, Co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), was sworn in as the 14th President of Pakistan on Sunday. The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa, administered the oath of office at the President House.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, outgoing President Arif Alvi, other service chiefs, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, chief ministers and governors of all provinces, members of assemblies, and ambassadors.

Asif Zardari secured 411 votes on Saturday, earning him a second term as president. He previously held the position in 2008.
