Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar made a significant announcement on Sunday regarding Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directive for ministries to achieve their targets.

Speaking at a press conference in Model Town, Muslim League Nawaz leader Atta Tarar elaborated on the Prime Minister’s instructions, emphasizing that each ministry has been provided with clear and attainable goals along with written guidelines to ensure timely completion.

He also mentioned that the progress of these ministries will be closely monitored through the use of modern technology, with ministers being commended for their exemplary work.

In addition to discussing the efforts of intelligence agencies in combating terrorism and the forthcoming regulations on illegal weapons, Atta Tarar highlighted the importance of digitizing the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and restructuring loans as key priorities.

The government’s focus is on enhancing the business environment in Pakistan and boosting revenues from Gulf countries by 2027. Atta Tarar underscored the vast potential in the minerals sector and the Ministry of Commerce’s objective of reducing trade deficits.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Education has been assigned the task of increasing enrollment of out-of-school children and developing an e-portal for laws enacted in Pakistan.

Atta Tarar also revealed plans to privatize Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in order to address the airline’s annual loss of 80 billion rupees.

He lauded Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s leadership skills and highlighted the country’s economic stability, efficient government departments, and the accountability of the elected cabinet to the public.
