Following the recent decision by the appeals court to reduce the bond amount for former US President Donald Trump and grant him an additional 10 days, Trump took to social media on Monday to make his first statement.

Trump announced on Truth Social that he would comply with the New York appeals court’s order to pay $175 million, whether in bond, securities, or cash. The court has also set a date of April 15 for the hush money case involving Stormy Daniels.

The appeals court decreased the bond from $464 million to $175 million, providing Trump’s team with more time and temporarily preventing the Attorney General from seizing his assets.

Trump’s legal team had previously claimed that he was unable to secure a bond from a US treasury-approved company, but Trump later stated that he had $500 million in cash available for the bond and his reelection campaign.

Trump expressed gratitude to the Appeals Court for halting Judge Arthur Engoron’s ruling on the fraud case against him, criticizing Engoron as a disgrace to the country.
