HC judges receive letter from CJP warning against executive interference in judicial affairs

Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has stated that any interference by intelligence agencies in the judicial affairs and workings of judges will not be tolerated.

This statement comes in response to a letter from Islamabad High Court (IHC) judges alleging such interference.

After receiving a letter from six IHC judges on March 25, 2024, CJP Isa called for a meeting with the Chief Justice and all judges of the IHC on the same day at 8 pm.

The Supreme Court, in a statement following a full court meeting, emphasized the seriousness of the allegations and the need to address them promptly.
