The Election Commission in Islamabad has officially released the timetable for the upcoming by-elections to fill 23 vacant seats in the national and provincial assemblies.

The polling day is set for April 21, with the deadline for candidates to submit their nomination papers being March 18. Candidate scrutiny will be carried out until March 21, and any objections to nomination papers must be filed by March 25.

The Election Commission will review all objections by March 28 and announce the final list of candidates on the same day. Election symbols will then be assigned to candidates on March 30.
